All four offices that make up the Center for Service Learning are actively involved with the communities that encircle IUPUI. Each office provides a unique and valuable service, both to the university and to the surrounding communities. The Office of Community Service links students, faculty and staff to volunteer projects at local community centers, schools, and other institutions. The Office of Service Learning aids faculty in the development, implementation and improvement of service learning courses, which engage students in community service experiences as part of their academic schedule. The Office of Community Work Study gives students the opportunity to fulfill their Federal Work-Study employment obligations with meaningful employment outside the university setting. The Office of Neighborhood Partnerships collaborates with local community organizations to create and sustain meaningful relationships that are mutually beneficial to both the university and the community.
