Global Youth Service Day

Celebrate, inspire, and impact youth in our community. Each April, IUPUI joins people across the world in celebrating Global Youth Service Day.

Friday, March 6, 2015
8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
George Washington Community High School Auditorium

Global Youth Service Day is an annual campaign that inspires millions of children and youth to improve their communities every day of the year through service and service learning. It is celebrated each year in more than 100 countries. Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day is the largest and longest-running service event in the world and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth.

The Sam H. Jones Freshman Service Scholars plan IUPUI’s Global Youth Service Day for March of each year to celebrate the youth in our community, to educate them on the importance of contributing to their community, and to engage them in a day of service.

For more information about Global Youth Service Day, contact Community Service and Civic Engagement at or (317) 274-3931.

Individuals needing more information, auxiliary aids for communication, or assistance for access or accommodation should contact at least three days prior to the event.
