Hiring a CEA
The Center for Service and Learning oversees the hiring process for each CEA. Faculty/staff will recruit their CEAs (with support from CSL) and will submit the names of their preferred candidates via an online submission form.
Once the CSL has worked directly with the candidate through the hiring process, the CEA and the faculty/staff supervisor will receive an email indicating that all requirements are complete for the student to begin.
Once they are hired and begin working, CEAs will clock in hours via the Kuali timekeeping system. Supervisors must log in to Kuali every two weeks to approve the students' time sheets.
Program expectations
The CEA program has expectations for both the faculty/staff supervisor and for the student. In order to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to grow and to develop through this program, supervisors and students will engage in a mentoring relationship guided by resources and modules within Canvas.
Supervisor expectations

- Utilizing prompts in Canvas, complete at least two reflection/coaching sessions with your student each semester.
