- Various IPS schools in the area
- GOAL University is a program created by IU Health that advocates for healthy lifestyles in elementary school-aged children. This program is only able to be successful with college volunteers. New volunteers are taken through a two-hour training session and are assigned to a local IPS school for the given semester, along with four or more other IUPUI volunteers. During the service, a team of IUPUI students collaborate and teach prepared nutrition and physical activity lessons to YMCA after-school programs in a seven-week course. Topics for these lessons include: the various sections of MyPlate, reducing screen time, Play 60, and other important health and wellness initiatives. For the spring 2019 semester, our program will run from January 22 through March 8 with applications due on January 11 at 11:59 p.m. The training program for new volunteers will be held January 14–18. Volunteers are asked to give one hour of their time to these students on the same day of the week.
