- 1125 E Brookside Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46201
- The Indy Winter Farmers Market was created to provide an urban venue to directly connect farmers and producers to the community and foster personal relationships in the exchange of fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, baked goods, herbs and natural products while promoting access to local, healthy food for all. It provides a venue for Indiana’s sustainable-minded family farms and small batch food producers to connect to the community and grow their businesses, creates a fun and interactive environment to improve our community’s access to local, fresh and nutritious food, and provides an opportunity for individuals and local businesses in Indianapolis to invest in community wellness. The market runs Saturdays from 9 am to 12:30 pm from November 10, 2018 through April 27, 2019. SNAP Ambassadors are needed to welcome SNAP shoppers and conduct SNAP transactions. You will conduct SNAP transactions at the info desk, inform shoppers about the triple SNAP match and let them know to look for SNAP signage at vendor booths. You may also be asked to make an announcement at the beginning of the weekly yoga class to let visitors know about donations for SNAP. Some basic record keeping is also required.
