How we can help

IUPUI is one of the nation’s most engaged campuses. You have many options for connecting with students, faculty, and staff to host a service project, for example. We can help you reach potential volunteers and interns. You can consult with CSL staff. We’re here for you throughout the process to help you find the best people for your organization and to ensure a good experience for everyone.

Post a volunteer request form

Getting started

Here are some ideas to help you get started:

  • Recruit student volunteers at our Student Involvement Expo during the Weeks of Welcome. Registration takes place over the summer and is limited. For questions and more details, please email commserv@iupui.edu.
  • Host volunteers as part of the campuswide service events:  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Week of Action, César Chávez Week of Action, and Jaguars in the Streets (fall and spring semesters).
  • Publicize your volunteer opportunities using our volunteer request form. We’ll share your opportunities with IUPUI students, faculty, and staff via our Service Opportunities page.

Of course, finding volunteers, interns, and employees is just one way to partner with us and IUPUI.

Looking to employ students in a cost-effective way?

The Community Work-Study (CWS) Program provides opportunities for students to earn their Federal Work-Study Program awards by working in an approved nonprofit or government agency. Approved agencies are able to hire students and pay only 25% of the students' wages. To find out about the process for hiring CWS students, please send an email of interest to fwsjobs@iupui.edu.
