IUPUI is one of the nation’s most engaged campuses. You have many options for connecting with students, faculty, and staff to host a service project, for example. We can help you reach potential volunteers and interns. You can consult with CSL staff. We’re here for you throughout the process to help you find the best people for your organization and to ensure a good experience for everyone.
How We Can Help
The Community Work-Study (CWS) Program provides opportunities for students to earn their Federal Work-Study Program awards by working in an approved nonprofit or government agency. Approved agencies are able to hire students and pay only 25% of the students' wages. Find out if you qualify to hire CWS students.
Here are more ideas to help you get started:
- Recruit student volunteers at our Student Involvement Expo during the Weeks of Welcome. Registration takes place over the summer and is limited. For questions and more details, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Host volunteers as part of the campuswide Days of Service: SECRET Service Day, IUPUI Day of Caring, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, César Chávez Day of Service, and Jaguars in the Streets (fall and spring semesters).
- Publicize your volunteer opportunities using our volunteer request form. We’ll share your opportunities with IUPUI students, faculty, and staff via our Service Opportunities page.
- Explore more information about finding volunteers and hiring IUPUI students.
Of course, finding volunteers, interns, and employees is just one way to partner with us and IUPUI.
