In response to barriers reported by engaged faculty during our most recent strategy planning process, the public scholarship faculty learning community (PSFLC) formed in 2015. The PSFLC was conceived as a three-year initiative co-sponsored by Academic Affairs and the Center for Service and Learning.
The PSFLC is charged with defining public scholarship, identifying criteria to assist faculty in documenting their community-engaged work, and engaging deans and department chairs in adapting criteria into promotion and tenure materials within school and departmental guidelines.
