Course and program planning to address ethical engagement
Intentional instructional and program design that pay attention to the terms and expected outcomes of engagement is critical to supporting praxis among all collaborators in community-engaged learning experiences. While often overlooked, the ethics of community engagement is a primary space to engage with the thorny questions of power, privilege, and marginalization that are a pervasive dimension of “educating for the public good.”
