- Summary:
- IHN will host its Food Pantry Networking Summit on Friday, October 14th at Second Presbyterian Church. The event is an all-day conference to provide information, training, and networking opportunities for food pantries in Central Indiana. We are expecting 350 participants. IHN is looking for volunteers to help with this event. We need volunteers in the morning to help set up for the event, to welcome participants into the building, and to help direct people to the registration area. We also need volunteers in the afternoon to show participants out of the building, collect surveys, and help clean up after the event. We need people like you to make sure this is the best event it can possibly be. For many pantries this will be their first Food Pantry Networking Summit and we want to make sure people feel welcomed and know where to go. There will be two shifts: One in the morning from 7:45-9:15am and an evening shift from 3:00-4:30pm. You can volunteer for one shift or both shifts, but please be prepared to stay for the entire shift. Additional information will be provided upon arrival, but no formal training is necessary. Masks and comfortable shoes are recommended. Spots will be given on a first come, first serve basis. If you are in need of school volunteer hours, we would be happy to sign off on them.
